GENEVA- Theresa Rosalie LiDestri Salone, 83, passed away peacefully on Fri. (March 22, 2024), at Strong Memorial Hospital. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, May 30, 2024, at 1 pm at St. Stephen's Church. Burial will be at 3 pm at Sampson Veterans Cemetery following the Mass.

Theresa was born on Nov. 11, 1940, in Geneva, NY and was a daughter of the late Anthony F. and Rose (Melito) LiDestri. She married the love of her life, Frederick "Boots" Salone, and together they raised a beautiful family, with 57 years of marriage, prior to his passing in 2016. Theresa was a member of the Catholic Daughters, the Rosary Society and volunteered at the Linden Exchange. Theresa enjoyed traveling and recently went to Italy. She often visited TN and GA to see her grandchildren. Theresa loved shopping and going to lunch with her friends and sisters.

She is survived by her daughters, Michelle Salone of Waterloo, Cheryl (Matthew) Farley of Mount Juliet, TN and Kristie Salone of Geneva; sons, Craig (Robin) Salone of Geneva, Phillip (Amy Vogt) Salone of Geneva, Kevin (Shawn) Salone of Newark and Kyle (Kimberly) Salone od Acworth, GA; sisters, Anna (Dave) Lewis of Springfield, VA, Rosemary (Cam) Ingram of Waterloo, Patricia (Richard) LaVoie of Geneva; brother, Santo (Barbara) LiDestri of Geneva; sisters-in-law, Anna 'Ginger' Callahan of Phoenixville, PA, Ann Salone of Geneva and Stephanie (Donald) Calabrese of Geneva; brother-in-law, Stephen (Sandra) Salone of Waterloo; grandchildren, Francis McCormack, Jessica (Joe) Comi, Christopher Salone, Thomas (Sidney) Guererri, Emma Farley, Alex Taylor and Parker Salone, Willie (Brittnay) Smallwood, Krystle Smallwood, Karena Collins, Saige (Josh) Blondell, Sydney Salone, Kyle (Laura) Salone, Anthony (Michele) Salone, Gabriel, Kingston and Savannah Salone; great-grandchildren, Franchesca McCormack, Lillian Comi, Jacob Guererri, Kalisi, Wale, Aniyah and Katalena Smallwood, Alaynah and Hayden and Anthony Salone, Jr.; several nieces. In addition to her parents and husband, Theresa was predeceased by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice (Stonebeck) and Frederick Salone, Sr.; brother-in-law, Rodney Salone.
