Please share a memory of Willie to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Willie Lee Smallwood, Jr.
GEVEVA-Willie Smallwood, Jr., 34 passed away suddenly on Wed. (April 17, 2024). Family and friends may call from 10 am to 11:30 am Wednesday (April 24) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A prayer service will follow at 11:30 am. The burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery.
Willie was born on June 21, 1989 in Geneva, NY and was the son of Kristie Salone and Willie Smallwood, Sr. On May 2, 2013, Willie married his high school sweetheart, Brittany, and they have been together for 18 years. In those 18 years, they had two beautiful children, Wale (14) and A'Niyah (11).
Willie was a devoted husband, father, son, sibling, uncle and best friend. There was nothing that he loved more than showering, his wife and children, with love and gifts. He was, in the eyes of many, the perfect man. Devoted, faithful and hardworking. Willies' family meant everything to him. When he wasn't spending time with them, he would go fishing or try his luck at the casino; whether it was poker, roulette, craps or just fun on the slots. Willie also loved traveling and made sure to show his family that there was more to life, and that they could have any and everything they wanted.
Willie was a hard worker and gave his all in everything he did. Whether it was building a porch/deck or trying to cook like Emeril "BAM" "KICK IT UP A NOTCH" Lagasse. He enjoyed sports, especially watching his favorite football team, the Philadelphia Eagles. But most of all, Willie loved the kids. He encouraged and supported his nieces (Kalisi, Katalena, Amaryllis, London, Egypt and Saniyah), nephews (Jessiah, Jacari, Willie and Michael) and Goddaughter (Kali), in any and every endeavor they pursued. We believe that is because he was still a kid at heart, but still nothing short of a grown man.
Willies' kindness and willingness to give was unmatched. His smile and laugh were contagious and would light up a room like a bright sunny day.
Willie is survived by his wife, Brittany Smallwood, and two children, Wale and A'Niyah, of Geneva, NY. Mother and father, Kristie Salone and Willie Lee Smallwood Sr; both of Geneva, NY. Sisters, Krystle Smallwood, Karena Collins and Lukesha Wright of Geneva, NY. Six nieces, four nephews, his goddaughter and a numerous amount of family and friends.
Willie was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Fredrick and Theresa Salone. Paternal grandparents, Mary and Jessie Smallwood Sr. His uncle Jessie Smallwood Jr, and Aunt Mary Smallwood.
Willies' legacy will always be engraved in the hearts of everyone he crossed paths and came in contact with. We all love you Willie. Continue to watch over us, as you have always done. Until next time my love.
