BORDER CITY- Ramona Navarreto, 84, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (July 4, 2024), at home, with her family by her side. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Mon. (July 8), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in St. Patrick's Cemetery. Ramona was born on March 1, 1940, in Las Piedras, Puerto Rico and was a daughter of the late Monico and Epifania (Marin) Navarreto. She worked for Seneca Foods for many years. Ramona enjoyed playing Bingo, cooking, watching TV and playing the lottery. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. She is survived by her children, Carmen (Hector) Rivera of Border City, Ruben (Luz) Marin of Newark, Francisco (Brenda) Mateo of Border City, Isa (Willie Cuadrado) Marin of Geneva and Edwin (Maria) Marin of Geneva; step-daughter, Jolene (Timothy) Thomas of Fayetteville, NY; siblings, Berta (Francisco) Camacho of Geneva, Tomasa (Tomas) Navarreto of Puerto Rico, Daniel (Nancy) Navarreto of Puerto Rico, Miguel Navarreto of Puerto Rico, Lydia Torres of Fla. and Daisy Navarreto of Geneva; grandchildren, Antonio (Courtney) Franco of Penfield, Ramona Ortiz of Geneva and many other loving grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews. Ramona was predeceased by her life-partner, Antonio Vazques; brother, Saul Navarreto.
