VICTOR- SSGT (Ret.) Carolyn D. Lozada, 63, passed away peacefully on Wed. (July 2, 2024), at home, with her family by her side. Friends may call from 2 to 5 p.m. Thurs. (July 11), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. The burial will be held at 2 p.m. Fri. (July 12), in the New York State Veterans Cemetery, with full military honors. Carolyn was born on Jan. 17, 1961, in Neptune, NJ and was a daughter of Genevieve (Howell) and the late Robert Bromell. She graduated from Warfordsberg High School in 1979. Carolyn proudly served her country in the United States Air Force, entering in 1979 and retiring in 1994. While in the Air Force, she loved traveling around the world. Carolyn met the love of her life, Marty, in 1981, while stationed at Bowling Air Force Base. They were married on Nov. 6, 1982. She attended the University of Maryland. After retirement from the Air Force, Carolyn was a childcare director and summer camp director for the Geneva YMCA for 20 years. She worked at the Victor Child Care Center for 2 years. Carolyn coached softball and attended countless travel sporting events and dance recitals. She enjoyed sports, poker tournaments, Bingo and cheating at Yahtzee. Most of all, she loved being with her family. Carolyn was a member of the American Legion in Geneva and the Moose Club in Waterloo. She is survived by her loving husband, Martin L. Lozada; children, Louis M. Lozada, Jennifer A. Lozada and Stephanie (Robert) Henning; sisters, Marie (Nathan) Bennett and Twinkle Smith; brothers, Harold (Yong Hui) Bromell and Austin (JoAnn) Smith; sister-in-law, Ronna (Chuck Orion) Smith; brothers-in-law, Harold (Dianne) Smith, William Lozada and Adrian (Gina) Lozada; grand dogs, Margo, Maggie and Kaileigh; many nieces, nephews, family and friends. Carolyn was predeceased by her adopted parents, Ben and Marlene Truax; father, Robert Bromell; father-in-law, Martin D. Lozada; step-father, Austin Smith and sister-in-law, Cheryl Johnson.
