GENEVA- Sheila (McDonald) Abraham, 85, passed away peacefully on Friday (August 16, 2024) at The Pines at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua with her family at her side. Friends may call from 5 to 7 on Tuesday (August 20) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am at St. Francis DeSales Church on Wednesday (August 21). Entombment will be at St. Mary's Mausoleum following the Funeral Mass.
Sheila was born on April 20, 1939 in Ovid, NY and was the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Dowling) McDonald. She was very active in St. Francis Church and a coach for The Special Olympics.
She is survived by her children Mark (Lori) Abraham of Oaks Corners, John (Paula) Abraham of Geneva, Andrea Zettlemoyer of Phelps and Matthew (Santa) Abraham of Geneva; sisters Beatrice Murray of Spencer, NY and Jeanette Beraducci of Freeville, NY; 9 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Sheila is predeceased by her husband Raymond C. Abraham; sisters Catherine "Micki" Griffin, Arlene McDonald, Margaret "Peggy" Iannopollo and brother Thomas McDonald.
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the staff at The Pines at MM Ewing Continuing Care Center in Canandaigua for the exceptional care and kindness they showed to our mother the last 13 years. Their dedication, patience, and compassion have meant the world to our family. Knowing she was in such good hands brought us great comfort.
