GENEVA-Louis John Bruno, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday (October 27, 2024) at Keuka Comfort Care Home, with his family by his side. Friends may attend a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. Thursday (October 31), at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow at the New York State Veterans Cemetery, Romulus, NY.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ontario-Yates Hospice or Keuka Comfort Care Home in Louie's memory.
Louie was born on February 27, 1932 in Geneva and was a son of the late John and Concetta (Morelli) Bruno. Louie had to quit high school at age 14 to provide for his family. He worked for many years in construction and masonry. Louie served his country in the United States Air Force from 1952 until 1955. He went on to work at the Seneca Army Depot for many years. After retirement, Louie worked at St. Stephen's Church.
He is survived by his wife of 60 yrs, Marilynn (Stewart) Bruno; son, Louis (Debra) Bruno II; daughter, Andrea (Bradley) Roach and their children, Allison and Kaitlyn Roach; daughter, Pamela (David Figler) Greco and her children Giovanna (Tyler) Brooks and Hannah (Austin) Greco; daughter, Paula (Richard) Maher and their children Sara (Hunter) Seaward and Joey (Alyssa Quinlan) Maher; great grandchild (4 days old), Lucy Brooks; brother John (Linda) Bruno; brothers-in-law Stephen Curry and Peter Finger; many nieces and nephews.
Louie was predeceased by his sisters, Ursula (Tony) Manino, Carmella (Ralph) Calabrese, Teresa (John) Zugec and Kathleen Curry; nephew, Ralph Calabrese; nieces, Marie Nelson and Maria Curry; brother-in-law, David Stewart; sister-in-law Carole Finger.
Louie's Family would like to thank all the staff from Ontario-Yates Hospice and Keuka Comfort Care Home for their compassionate loving care of Louie in his final days.
