Dorothy C. Serrett GENEVA- Dorothy C. Serrett, 91, passed away peacefully on Sun. (Feb. 9), at home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tues. (Feb. 18), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. A private burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456, or Ontario-Yates Hospice 756 Pre-Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456. Dorothy was born on Oct. 24, 1922 in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Paul and Mary (Chilbert) Coluzzi. She attended the Marion S. Whelan School of Nursing and worked for Geneva General Hospital, as a maternity nurse, until her retirement in 1983. Dorothy was a former member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary and Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her son, William (Connie) Serrett of Penn Yan; daughter, Marilyn (Hugh) Howard of Geneva; brother, Dominic "Mickey" (Antoinette "Toni") Coluzzi of Geneva; grandchildren, Lauren Serrett, Adam Serrett, Erica Curasi, Keith Howard and Paul Howard; great-grandchildren, Kaleb Glick and Simon Curasi; several nieces and nephews. Dorothy was predeceased by her husband, Dominic W. Serrett; son, Jeffrey Serrett; brothers, Nelson (Margaret) Coluzzi and Benito Coluzzi; sisters, Eunice Holtby, Catherine Cusimano and Josephine Maressa. Dorothy's family would like to express their deep appreciation to those who cared for her in her final months.
