Marie Helen Mularski GENEVA- Marie Helen Mularski, 86, passed away peacefully at home on Sat. (Sept. 22, 2012). Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. on Thurs. (Sept. 27), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Fri. (Sept. 28), at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. The entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Geneva Living Center North, 196 North St. Geneva, NY 14456. Marie was born in Geneva, NY, on August 9th, 1926, the daughter of the late Phillip & Caroline Carone, and was a lifelong resident of Geneva. Marie met the love of her life, her husband, Fred, selling tickets to the Geneva Red Birds baseball games and he was the Red Birds first baseman. Their love of baseball continued throughout their 61 years of marriage as loyal Yankee fans. Marie was a most entertaining woman with a unique style. She made an impression on everyone. And she knew everyone! Her gregarious personality served her well for her years of service as the manager of the Green Stamps Store, the greeter at K-Mart and, most recently, as a Dining Hall Attendant for Hobart-William Smith Colleges. She was a well- known figure in the City of Geneva, which was the reason her family referred to her as the "unofficial mayor" of Geneva. Marie is survived by her husband, Fred; sisters, Angie Giuseppe of Alexandria, VA., Stella Pucci of Hilton, NY; several nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother, Tom Carone; sisters Christine Carone and Anna Talomie.
