Obituary of Dolores Marie McGoff

Dolores "Dee" Marie (Saporito) McGoff GENEVA/FLORIDA- Dolores Marie (Saporito) McGoff, 74, passed away peacefully in Florida with her son by her side on Wed. (Sept. 24, 2014). Friends may call Tues. (Sept. 30) from 4 pm to 6 pm at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A mass Of Christian Burial will be Wed. (Oct. 1) at 10 am at St. Francis deSales Church. Entombment will follow at St. Mary's Mausoleum. Dolores was born in Geneva on April 2, 1940 and was the daughter of the late Michael and Helen (Campbell) Saporito. She graduated from Geneva High School in 1958, and attended State University at Brockport where she received a BA. Dee followed her love of education and began her career as an elementary school teacher in Canandaigua in 1962. She then went on to teach First and Second grade at West Street School in Geneva, where she retired after 38 yrs. in the field of education. Upon retiring, Dee moved to Winter Springs, FL where she met many wonderful new friends. Dee is survived by her son David (Megan) McGoff of Ashland, MA; three grandchildren Michael, Katherine and Jack; sister-in-law Carol Saporito, niece Michelle and nephew Christopher of Winter Springs, FL; cousins MaryAnn ( Jim) Calabrese, Anthony ( Angela) Calabrese and Godson Mario Calabrese all of Geneva, NY. Dee will be forever remembered for her love of family and friends.
