Obituary of Mary J. Serrett

Mary J. Serrett GENEVA- Mary J. Serrett, 92, passed away peacefully on Sat. (Nov. 22, 2014), at the Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. A prayer service will be held at 1 p.m. Mon. (Dec. 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Mary was born on Oct. 25, 1922, in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Frederick and Mary (D'Agostino) Marciano. She was a sales clerk for many years, employed by McCurdy's in Geneva. Mary enjoyed baking at home and was known as the 'Cookie Lady.' She made cookies for many events and businesses throughout the area. Mary was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva and the St. Anthony Society. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Kalman) Dolgos of Geneva; brother, Anthony Marciano of Geneva; sister-in-law, Gloria Marciano of Seneca Falls; brother-in-law, Renus Maultsby of NC; grandchildren, Kristen Dolgos, Michelle Emanuelson and Steven Dolgos; great-grandchildren, Ryan, Steven and Devon; several nieces and nephews. Mary was predeceased by her husband, Patrick A. Serrett; brother, Frederick Marciano; sisters, Margaret (James) Barber, Eileen (Viv) Loder and Dorothy Maultsby; great-grandson, Eric Taney; sister-in-law, Joan Marciano.
