7 JUNE 1922-3 DECEMBER 2014 GENEVA- Ellen Slade (Costley) Robbins passed away 3 December 2014 in the Living Center South, Geneva, NY after a long illness. At her request, there will be no calling hours and internment in Glenwood Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider donations to the Trinity Episcopal Church Memorial Fund 520 S. Main St. Geneva, NY 14456 or Beverly's Animal Shelter 50 E. River St. Waterloo, NY 13165. Ellen was born on June 7, 1922, and was the first of seven children born to Claude H. Costley and Edith (Clark) Costley. She lived most of her life in Geneva, NY and was a graduate of Geneva High School, Class of 1940. During her working career, she worked at Montgomery Ward for several years before going to work at the Registrar's Office at Hobart College. After her retirement from the Registrar's Office, she continued to work at Hobart in the Food Service area, where she developed many friendships with the students. Ellen was an avid baseball fan supporting teams at Shuron Park and loved the New York Mets. She was a lifelong member of Trinity Episcopal Church. She is survived by one son, Larry (Mary Jo); two daughters, Judith (Terry) Hayes and Arlene Mayotte all in Austin, Texas; two grandsons, Todd (Jessica) Marion and Benjamin (Thidarat) Mayotte; three great grandchildren, Griffin and Braylee Marion and Zachary Mayotte; sister, Amy Felice of Geneva; brother, Robert (Helene) Costley of Seneca Falls, along with several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and siblings Ann, Emily, William and Mary.
