Obituary of Theresa J. Burry

GENEVA- Theresa J. Burry, 65, passed away peacefully on Sun. (Dec. 7, 2014), at home. Friends may call from 4 to 6 p.m. Wed. (Dec. 10), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Theresa was born on April 21, 1949, in Geneva, and was a daughter of the late Frank and Josephine (Spinnalli) Trunzo. She was an LPN at Geneva General Hospital and later became a nanny and family companion for the Dobbins family in Lyons for over 20 years. Theresa enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren. She was especially known for her infectious laugh and positive outlook on life. Theresa was a member of the Rosary Society and Our Lady of Peace Parish. She is survived by her daughters, Lisa Carello of Victor and Jennifer (Brian Hanscom) Burry of Brooklyn; sister, Josephine Trunzo of Geneva; grandchildren, Vinny, Sophie Carello and a large extended family including cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and friends. Theresa was predeceased by her brothers, Dominick, Samuel, Augustus and Frank Trunzo, Jr.; nephew, David Trunzo.
