Obituary of Alexander J. Pronti

Alexander 'Sandy' J. Pronti HORSEHEADS/GENEVA- Alexander 'Sandy' J. Pronti, 72, of Horseheads passed away on Wed. (Jan. 28, 2015), at home. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Mon. (Feb. 2), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Tues. (Feb. 3), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Sandy was born on June 25th, 1942 in Geneva, NY and was the son of the late Angelo and Phyllis (D'Abbracci) Pronti. He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving in Korea. Sandy was employed for 30 years with Kraft Foods, Phillip Morris Co. as an Accountant Sales Rep. He also worked 6 years for Leon Kastner Meat Purveyor of Rochester and Lobel's of New York. He was a member of the Horseheads Clubs: The American Legion, Elks and Moose Club. Sandy was a communicant of Ss. Peter and Paul Church in Elmira. He enjoyed golfing with the 'Mini Tour' of Soaring Eagles was one of his favorite leisure activities. His many rounds of play and the long lasting friendships were very special to him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Betsy (Heffron) Pronti of Horsehaeds. They recently celebrated 45 years of marriage; sons, David (Michele) Pronti of Dalmatia, PA and Mark (Denise) Pronti of Horseheads; 3 grandchildren, Angelina, Amelia and Zane Pronti; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
