GENEVA-Mary E. Damick, 90, passed away on Thurs. (March 26, 2015), at Huntington Living Center in Waterloo. In honoring her wishes, there will be no calling hours. Family and friends may attend her funeral service at Zion Lutheran Church on Fri. (April 17) at a time to be announced. Entombment will be in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Contributions may be directed to the Dorcus Society of the Lutheran Church 18 Snell Rd. Geneva, NY 14456. Mary was employed for 20 years at the Geneva General Hospital in the physical therapy department. As a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, in Geneva, she was responsible for altar flowers from 1973 through 2009. Mary loved her yard and gardening as well as her beloved raspberry bushes transplanted from Minnesota. She was a devoted volunteer at the Community Lunch program preferring to help in the background washing dishes. Mary was also an enthusiastic golfer later in life, enjoying being out in the fresh air and nature as much as the golf. Mary is the daughter of the late Anna (Reitter) and William Leeseberg. She is survived by her sons, Donald (Debra) Damick of Geneva and Richard (Janice) Damick of Rochester; sisters, Elizabeth Jenkins of NV and Phyllis (Robert) Helvey of MO; brother, Richard (Kathleen) Leeseberg of MN; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Nazanin) Damick, Tiffany (Douglas) D'Angelo, Jonathan (Courtney) Damick and Benjamin (Jeannine) Damick; great grandchildren, Kamran, Arian, Wesley Damick and Julia Lorraine D'Angelo. Mary was predeceased by her husband James J. Damick; granddaughter Jillian Damick and sisters Virginia Lipe and brother William G Leeseberg.
