ROCHESTER/GENEVA-Dorothy Marie DeBacco, passed away peacefully Wednesday (May 6) in Rochester with her family at her side. Family and friends may call from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday (May 8) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee Street, Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. Sat. (May 9) at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Dorothy was born on Sept. 5, 1930 in Canandaigua, NY and was a daughter of the late Lena (Burgess) and Leon Phelps. She retired after 17+ years from Hobart College as Administrator Assistant to the Athletic Director. Dorothy was a member of the Social Ministry at St. Francis Church, enjoyed reading, cooking and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Dorothy is survived by her husband Carmen Salvatore DeBacco; children Linda (John) Mazur of Penfield, Ellen (Al) Lanio of Greece and Mark (Trisha) DeBacco of Webster; sister Norma Morelock of Nashville, TN; grandchildren Emilee and Matthew Mazur, Taylor, Timothy and Paige Lanio, Molly and Drew DeBacco; and many beloved nieces and nephews.
