Ferman Barrett GENEVA- Ferman Barrett, 78, passed away peacefully on Sat. (Oct. 20, 2012), at Clifton Springs Hospital. Friends may call from 12 to 1 p.m. Tues. (Oct. 23), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. in the funeral home, with Dr. Russ Willemsen, pastor of the Flint Creek Church of God, officiating. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery, with full military honors. Ferman was born on Sept. 16, 1934 in Sanford, FL and the son of the late Will and Aletha (Williams) Barrett. He worked for many years as a farm supervisor, employed by Palermo Farm in Potter, NY. Ferman served his country in the United States Army in 1957. He was a faithful member of the Flint Creek Church of God, where he served as deacon, trustee and was a member of the pastor's council. Ferman enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He is survived by his son, Ferman Barrett, Jr.; step-daughters, Darlene Reed, Janet Reed, Francini Miller and Barbara Williams; step-sons, Curtis Williams and James Williams; older sister, Lucille; grandchildren, Winston Miller, Connie Glover, Cricket Reed, Rachael Reed, Ian Reed-Yancey and Matthew Barrett; great grandchildren, Ferman Barrett III, Malcolm Miller and Matthew Barrett; nieces, Wilma Moore; nephew, Willie Moore; cousins, Victoria Brown, Lillian Williams and several other counsins. Ferman was predeceased by his beloved wife, Delois Barrett on Sept. 29, 2012.
