Lucy L. DiZillo GENEVA - Lucy L. DiZillo, 93, passed away Tues. (Dec. 14, 2010) at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Mon. (Dec. 20) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Tues. (Dec. 21) at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow in Newark Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456, or the Center of Concern, 58 Avenue D, Geneva, NY 14456. Lucy was born April 9, 1917, in Newark, NY and was a daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (D'Orazio) Longoverde. She attended and graduated from Newark High School and the Rochester Business Institute. Lucy worked as a secretary for many years, employed by Shuron Optical and the TB and Heart Association. She retired from the Lincoln First Bank in Geneva after many years of service as a bank teller. Lucy was a generous and loving wife, sister, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her extended family. In her more than 30 years of retirement, she kept active by working around her house and gardens, crocheting and visiting with family and friends. She was a member of St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. She is survived by her daughter, Julie (Daniel) Binney of Roswell, GA; sister, Josephine (Babe) Coleman of Palm Bay, FL; grandchildren, Joseph and Maria Binney; sister-in-law, Angeline Marr of Seneca Falls and several nieces and nephews. Lucy was predeceased by her beloved husband, Louis DiZillo; sisters, Elizabeth Petrus, Rose Fisher, Lena Fischette, Nellie Klomser and Mary Longoverde.
