GENEVA - Louella Singleton, 79, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sun. (Jan. 16, 2011) at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Mon. (Jan. 24) at the Faith Community Church, 90 Lewis St. Geneva, with a funeral service following calling hours at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
Louella was born July 1, 1931, in Pompano, FL, and was a daughter of the late Robert and Hattie Naomi (Smith) Newkirk.
She is survived by sons, Danny (Kathy) Singleton of Geneva, William (Mary) Singleton of Geneva, Alvin Singleton of Cary, NC, Willie Singleton of Geneva, Johnny Singleton of Geneva, Nate (Rima) Singleton of Geneva and Saadiq Singleton of Charleston, NC; daughters, Naomi McKoy of Geneva, Daisy (Tim) Agee of Auburn, Ella Sapp of Geneva, Linda (Jimmy) Rhett of Geneva and Lou Singleton of Geneva; brothers, Paul Newkirk of PA, Joe Lewis Newkirk of Sarasota, FL and Moss Newkirk of Sarasota, FL; sisters, Catherine McNeal of Sarasota, FL, Nobie Newkirk of Sarasota, FL and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Louella was predeceased by her husband, James Singleton and brothers, Robert, Frank and Ripp.
