Charles F. Boatfield
WATERLOO - Charles F. Boatfield, 72, passed away Mon. (April 4, 2011) at the Geneva Living Center - North. In honoring his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Fri. (April 8) at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery.

Charles was born April 26, 1938, in Geneva, and was a son of the late William and Helena (Zeck) Boatfield. He was a graduate of Mynderse Academy in Seneca Falls. Charles served his country in the United States Army from 1961 to 1964. He was employed by Goulds Pumps, in Seneca Falls for 36 years. Upon retirement, he began working at BJ's Wholesale Club in Geneva, where he was employed for 15 years. Charles was a member of the Senior Men's Bowling League at Sunset Bowl in Geneva, the American Legion Post 435 and the VFW Post 6433, in Waterloo. He loved to play cards with his wife and good friends; the "Hartmans," and enjoyed spending time with his Scottie Terriers. Charles was a member of St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva.
He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Mary (Minneci-Duerr) Boatfield of Waterloo; brother, Bill Boatfield of Seneca Falls; special friend, Belinda Fratto-Contreras of Waterloo; beloved pet, Heather, and many dear friends.
