Peggy Jo Richmond GENEVA- Peggy Jo Richmond, 80, passed away suddenly on Mon. (Oct. 29, 2012), at Geneva General Hospital, with her family by her side. Friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Sun. (Nov. 4), at the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark St. Geneva. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Mon. (Nov. 5), at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, with the Rev. Sherman Dunmore officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. Contributions in Peggy's memory may be directed to the African American Men's Association PO Box 98 Geneva, NY 14456. Peggy was born in Itman, WV and was the daughter of the late William and Willa (Jones) Freeman. She worked at the Seneca Knitting Mill, Planned Parenthood and retired from the Geneva Middle School. Peggy had a great love for children. She also liked to travel, work on cross-word puzzles and so loved to be with her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, James A. Richmond, Jr. of Geneva; sons, James A. (Judy) Richmond III of Farmington and Randy (Tammy) Richmond of Geneva; daughters, Rhonda (Julia Young) Richmond of Waynesburg, PA and Michelle Richmond of Tampa, FL; grandchildren, Jamie Richmond, Alexis and Amber McKinnon; step-grandchildren, Jessy Dano, Jasmine and Cody O'Connell and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Peggy was the last of the Freeman family.
