Betty E. Johnson GENEVA - Betty E. Johnson, 87, passed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Mon. (May 9, 2011), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Mon. (May 16), at the St. Paul Full Gospel Baptist Church, 76 East North Street, Geneva. A Home Going service will follow at 11 a.m., with Bishop John S. Dixon celebrating, interment at Oak Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations may be sent to St. Paul's Full Gospel Baptist Church, 76 E. North St. Geneva, NY 14456. Betty was born Aug. 12, 1924, in Orange City, FL, and a daughter of the late Charlie and Mellenne Huff. Betty was a life long member of St. Paul's Full Gospel Baptist Church. She worked at Comstock Canning in Waterloo for many years before becoming a homemaker, she was a great cook, enjoyed canning at home. She is survived by her husband, Fred Johnson of Geneva; daughters, Marcelle Johnson of Geneva and Mellenee (Gifford) Whitehurst of VA; sons, Fred (Eska) Johnson, Jr. and Samuel Johnson, both of Rochester; brothers, Herbert & Irvin Huff, & Sherman Tillman; sisters, Agnes Phillipe & Anna Mae Jones; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The Johnson Family would like to thank all of those who cared for their Mother during her stay at the living Center.
