Dominick J. Quartaro GENEVA - Dominick J. Quartaro, 75, passed away Wed. (May 18, 2011) at Geneva General Hospital, with his loving family by his side. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sun. (May 22) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva. The Knights of Columbus will meet at 5:30 p.m. and the Sons of Italy will meet at 6 p.m. Funeral services will begin with prayers at 9 a.m. Mon. (May 23) at the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:30 a.m. at St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. Contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Dominick was born Feb. 11, 1936, in Geneva, NY, and was a son of the late Dominic S. and Carmella (Paciulli) Quartaro. He married Angela Placito on Oct. 27, 1956. Together, they spent 54 ½ wonderful years together. Dom graduated from Geneva High School in 1953. He was employed and, ultimately, retired from NYSEG. Dom was a lifetime member of the Geneva Rod and Gun Club, the Knights of Columbus, a 20 year member of the Sons of Italy, a member of the NYSEG Century Club, the Our Lady of Peace Choir and Our Lady of Peace Parish. He enjoyed deer hunting, fishing and boating on Seneca Lake. Above all, Dom cherished his time spent at his cabin in Hector with his sons. He loved his family very much, and will be sadly missed by all. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 ½ years, Angela (Placito) Quartaro of Geneva; son, Scott (Bianca) Quartaro of Geneva; daughter, Cynthia (Keith) Amidon of Waterloo; daughter-in-law, Debra Fox Quartaro of Rochester; grandchildren, Anthony, Eric, Miranda, Alicia and Dominick Quartaro; sister, Helen Constantine of Waterloo; sisters-in-law, Marie (John) McGory and Beverly (Francis) Fabrizio, all of Geneva; brother-in-law, Ken (Iris) Goodman of Highland Park, NJ, and many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, Dominick was predeceased by his son, Stephen J. Quartaro and nephew, Frank Constantine.
