Obituary of Joseph R. Principio

Joseph R. Principio GENEVA - Joseph R. Principio, 60, passed away on Monday. (June 6, 2011), at Geneva General Hospital. In honoring his wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Fri. (June 10) at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456. Joey was born Aug. 27, 1950, in Geneva and was a son of the late Vrony and Mary (Borsa) Principio. He worked for the City of Geneva, Public Works Department for 33 years. Joey was a great fan of the New York Yankees, The Beatles, and most of all, his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Joann (Zaso) Principio of Geneva; children, Robert Krupcznski, Shannon Russ and Colleen (Ed Dyson) Hennessy, all of Geneva; grandchildren, his "tiger" Mason Russ, his "wooden soldier" Myles Atkinson, and his "princess" Finley Hennessy-Dyson; siblings, John Kimball of Geneva, Cindy (Chuck) Covert of Manchester, and David Principio of Albany; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and his "little buddy" Luke. Joey was a very honorable man who was loved very much, and will be sadly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his parents, Joey was predeceased by several aunts and uncles.
