Mary Lou Jones GENEVA - Mary Lou Jones, 79, went to be with the Lord after a short battle with cancer on Fri. (Jun 3, 2011), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends and family may call from 5 to 7 p.m. (Thurs. June 9) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Fri. (June 10) at Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark St. Geneva. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery. Mary Lou was born April 9, 1932, in Macon, GA, and was a daughter of the late Cora Bell Wilcox and James Snell. She relocated to Newark, NJ at the age of 18, where she met and married the late Roger Jones, Jr. To that reunion, two children were born, Dolores and Roger. Mary Lou worked as an assembly person for Fedders Air Conditioning Corp. of Edison, NJ for 25 years, before retiring and moving to Cincinnati, OH. After five years in Cincinnati, Mary Lou relocated to Geneva to be close to family, where she has lived for the past 5 years. Mary Lou was a member of the Damascus Missionary Baptist Church of Newark, NJ under the leadership of Elder Robert Davis. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Dolores (Victor) Nelson of Geneva; son, Roger (Petra) Jones III of Seneca Falls; step-daughters, Jill (Reuben) Roberts of South Hampton, NJ and Vanessa Jackson; sister, Louise Evelyn (Addison) Wilcox; Godmother, Lillian McClendon, all of Newark, NJ; grandchildren, Jamahl, Christian, Tiffany, Marcus, Kendra and Mirriah; great-grandchild, Zaraiyah and a host of family and friends. Mary Lou was predeceased by her long time companion, Henry Jackson.
