WATERLOO - Teofilo Torres Munoz, 84, passed away Sat. (July 2, 2011) at home, surrounded by his loving family. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Fri. (July 8) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva, NY. A funeral service will follow at 7 p.m. at the funeral home. The Waterloo American Legion and V.F.W will meet at the funeral home at 7:30 p.m. for military honors.
Teofilo was born Jan. 7, 1927, in Puerto Rico, and was a son of the late Rosario Torres and Paula Munoz. He served his country during the Korean War, in the United States Army, from 1952 to 1954. Teofilo enjoyed fishing, gardening, cooking and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Nancy Lee (Wise) Munoz; sons, Freddie, Manuel and Ieka; daughters, Mary Lyn (Terry) Walker, Elizabeth (Joe Woody) Munoz, Paulita (Prudencio) Aguilera and Victoria Manwaring; brother, Santo and Condo Torres; sisters, Paulita Torres and Cecilia Torres; grandchildren, Ashley, Wakili, Domaquic, Asia, Desmond, Jazzi, Kalel, Milagros, Reyena, Emiliano, Marselino, K.J., Ta, and many more.
Teofilo was predeceased by his brothers, Martin and Angel Torres and sister, Victoria Torres.
