GENEVA - Rita M. Hardy, 82, passed away, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Thurs. (July 28, 2011), at the Seneca Nursing Home in Waterloo. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sat. (July 30) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 12 p.m., following calling hours, at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery.
Contributions may be directed to the Seneca Nursing Home and Rehabilitation Center, 200 Douglas Dr. Waterloo, NY 13165.
Rita was born on March 21, 1929, in Oaks Corners, NY, and was a daughter of the late Sherman and Millicent (McKee) Ogden. Rita was a member of the Geneva Women's Club and the First Baptist Circle Group.
She is survived by her sons, Clyde (Catherine) Hardy, Raymond (Sandra) Hardy and Bruce (Ann) Hardy; daughter, Kathryn (Roger) Armstrong; sisters, Alice (Kenneth) Pierson and Dolly Root; grandchildren, Sarah (Jason) Larocque, Emily (Dennis) Palen, Jeffrey (Desiree) Hardy, Todd (Katie) Hardy, and 10 great-grandchildren.
Rita was predeceased by her husband, Frank Hardy; brother, James Ogden and sister, Charlene Riles.
