James D. Carter GENEVA - James D. Carter, 92, passed into the arms of his Lord and Savior on Sat. (Aug. 27, 2011), at the Geneva Living Center North. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurs. (Sept. 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Fri. (Sept. 2), at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, 70 Clark St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held immediately following at 11 a.m. at the church. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. James was born on Dec. 11, 1918, in Bainsbridge, GA and was a son of the late Pete and Lizzie (Brown) Carter. He was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and great-great grandfather. He is survived by his sons, Robert (Joan) Carter of Geneva, James D. (Annie) Carter, Jr. of Ithaca and Leroy Carter of Rochester; daughters, Rosa M. (Walter) Miller of Sanford, FL, Addie (Alvin) Carter of Lyons, Linda (Lynn) Johnson of Rochester, Diane Carter of Geneva, Rosa (Joseph) McKoy of Geneva and Nancy J. Carter of Geneva; sisters, Virse Wright and Bernan Cooper, both of Geneva and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his wife, Luvenia (Anderson) Carter; son, James W. Carter; daughter, Brenda Carter; brothers, Perry Carter, Sr. and Willie L. Carter and sister, Fannie Mae Grady.
