J'Lon Jalique Woody-Huff GENEVA - J'lon Jalique Woody - Huff was born December 17, 1999 in Geneva, NY to Ms. Janet Woody and Mr. Sharod Huff Sr. He departed this life on Thursday, November 10, 2011 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. Friends may call Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 10:15 - 11:15 AM at the Presbyterian Church of Geneva the service will follow at 11:15 AM. J'lon was a faithful member of Divine Destiny Ministries under the leadership of Apostle Steven Brown. J'lon was a fun loving kid who always kept a smile on his face. He loved basketball and wrestling and was blessed to meet his favorite NBA Star Dwight Howard "Superman" of the Orlando Magic in February of this year. Made possible by the Make A Wish Foundation. J'lon was your average young boy who enjoyed playing video games and being on his computer. He loved the Lord, his family, science and nature. He was an avid bug collector. J'lon was also a bright young scholar who valued education and loved reading. He never let his circumstance get him down and always kept an optimistic attitude and encouraging spirit. J'lon accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very early age. Heaven gained a "Beautiful Angel" as J'lon went home to be with the Lord. He left behind a tremendous legacy that will live on forever in the hearts of all the many people who love him dearly. J'lon leaves to cherish his memories: His Parents Janet and Sharod Sr.; Sisters Ashley Woody of Geneva, NY; June Montgomery and Latara Chandler of Schenectady, NY; Brothers Sharod Huff Jr. of Geneva, NY and Justin Chandler of Schenectady, NY; Maternal Grandfather Laurie Woody of Geneva, NY and Paternal Grandmother Jean Huff of Richmond, VA; Uncle Robert (Bernadette) Woody of Gainesville, Florida; Aunt Clara (Sylvester) Woody - Redmon of Gainesville, Florida; Special Aunts Deborah Woody of Geneva, NY and Phyllis Jackson of Rochester, NY; Devoted Godmother Annette Mallard of Geneva, NY and a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins and friends. He was predeceased by his Maternal Grandmother Lois Woody and Paternal Grandfather Richard Huff.
