Obituary of Mary Angelina Quethera

Mary Angelina Quethera GENEVA-Mary Angelina Quethera, 92 yrs. old, passed away peacefully Saturday (Dec. 1, 2012) with her family at her side at Geneva Living Center South. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tues. (Dec.4) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home, LLC, 28 Genesee St., Geneva, NY 14456. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 am Wed. (Dec.4) at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Geneva. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery. Mary was born on June 26, 1920 in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Romeo and Angelina (Venturino) Acquilano. She was a cook at Club 86 during the Big Band Era (and a good one at that). Mary was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, aunt and friend. She loved going to Finger Lakes Race Track, playing cards with her friends, watching the Yankees and Mets on T.V. and traveling and shopping with her niece JoAnn. Mary is survived by her husband of 55 years, Louis Quethera, Sr.; sons Louis E. Quethera, Jr. of Geneva, Peter J. (Kathy) Quethera of Geneva, John M. (Traci) Quethera of Penfield; brother Valentino (Ethel) Acquilano of California; two special people, loving niece JoAnn (Patrick) Linehan of Geneva; several nieces and nephews. Mary is predeceased by her sister Victoria Scala and her brother Anthony Acquilano.
