PHELPS- Stephen J. Schoen, 63, passed away on Sat. (May 19, 2012), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (May 24), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made in care of LNB @ 399 Exchange St., Geneva. Steve was born on June 16, 1948 in Rochester, NY, and was the son of the late Carl and Lucille (Callen) Schoen. He just recently retired from Wadham's Enterprises after many years of service as a Safety Supervisor. Stephen enjoyed motorcycling, boating, music, playing guitar and drums. In his younger years he toured with the Steve Miller Band for a year as a drummer. Above all, Stephen cherished the time he spent with his wife and family, especially his grandchildren, who called him "Boo". He is survived by his loving wife, Deborah G.(Sanford) Schoen of Phelps; step mother, Dorothy Schoen; step children, Jason (Jennifer) Smith of Charleston Air Force Base, SC, Joseph (Laura) Smith of Seneca Falls, Jessica Smith of Geneva and James (Brandilee) Smith of Malmstrom Air Force Base, MT; sister, Mary Scuttella of Pittsford; brothers, Mark Schoen of Rochester and Pete (Melissa) Schoen of Penfield; nephew, Patrick Scuttella of Rochester and numerous grandchildren.
