Obituary of Ann V. Amrose

Ann V."Vicki" Amrose GENEVA- Ann V."Vicki" Amrose, 73, passed away peacefully Thurs. (Oct. 15, 2015) at Unity Hospital in Rochester, NY. Family and friends may attend a memorial service at 1 p.m. on Sat. (Nov. 21), at St. Peters Episcopal Church, 146 Genesee Street, Geneva, NY. Vicki was born in Clifton Springs on Feb. 21, 1942 and was the daughter of the late Henry and Esther (Frey) Cummings. She graduated in 1959 from Phelps Central School then later from Cortland State College. Vicki worked at Sibley's in downtown Rochester and in Newark. In 1973 she married Eugene Amrose, and helped raise his six children in Lyons, NY. Vicki was a member of Wayne Hills Country Club and WHCC Women's Association. She served terms as secretary, Chairman of Ladies Day and the Golf Rules Committee. In 1986, Vicki moved to Geneva. She was a communicant of St. Peters Episcopal Church for over 25 years. Vicki was a member of St. Peters Ranking Guild, serving as "Sunshine Lady" and President in 2014. She worked in Women's retail clothing stores for more than 50 yrs., retiring in 2012 as Assistant Manager of Kasper at the Waterloo Outlet Mall. After retirement, she volunteered at the Linden Exchange in Geneva, NY. Vicki enjoyed her home, gardening, golfing, antiques, tole painting, cooking, her cats and entertaining her friends. She is survived by her step children; Paul (Jennifer) of Conn., Natalie (Stuart) of New York City, Lisa of Boston, Ann of New Haven, Shawn (Judy) of New York City, and Joseph (Elizabeth) of New Jersey; many cousins especially Jerry and Nancy Frey.
