Marie D. McMann
GENEVA- Marie D. McMann, 92, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (Feb. 25, 2016), at Geneva General Hospital. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Tues. (March 1), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Beverly Animal Shelter, 50 E. River St. Waterloo, NY 13165.
Marie was born on June 7, 1923, in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Louis and Luella (Degen) Del Papa. She was a life-long resident of Geneva. Marie owned and operated the "Marie Del Papa Beauty Salon," for over 60 years. She enjoyed cooking, sewing and drinking her rum.
She is survived by her niece, Julie Linehan Carlin of Waterloo; nephew, Patrick (Joann) Linehan of Geneva; dear, loving and best friends, Linda and Richard Bennett of Geneva; several nieces and nephews in Fla.
Marie was predeceased by her husband, John A. McMann and son, John Daniel McMann.
The family would like to thank the Geneva General staff especially Dr. Seth Mensah and Alexis Bell RN for their comfort and care for Marie.
