Obituary of Arlie Jean Howard

Arlie Jean Howard GENEVA – Arlie Jean Howard, 83, passed away peacefully on Mon. (April 18, 2016), at home with her loving family by her side. Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Thurs. (April 21), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. Burial will be at the convenience of the family in Oaklawn Cemetery. Family and friends are welcome to join the family at the Oaks Corners Fire Hall on Fri. (April 22) from 12 to 4 p.m. Contributions may be directed to the Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456. Arlie was born on July 12, 1932 in Geneva and was a daughter of the late William and Edna (Benauer) DeLand. In addition to being a homemaker, she worked for the family business, Geneva Auto Electric. Arlie enjoyed gardening, mowing, playing computer games, Euchre, Bingo, word searches, and watching the New York Yankees. She loved the company of her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and her pets. Arlie was the President of the Oaks Corners Women's Auxiliary and a member of the Moose Club #823. She is survived by her children, Jean Ann Howard, Christine Sabin (Steve), Joyce Piscitelli (Vince), Richard Howard, Jr., Juanita Howard (Bob Brink) and Dolores Howard; sisters-in-law, Dorothy DeLand, Germaine Lee, Janet Howard and Minnie Howard; grandchildren, Jennifer Cairns (Mark), Jessica Mitchell (Tom), Wendy Hilberer (Jason), Paul Sabin and Derek Sabin, Peter Tillman III (Britany Messer), Stephen Hegel, Jr., Melissa Carletta (Mike), Marlana Howard (Joe Pagano), Richard Howard III, Robert Howard and Deanna Blakeman (Dan); nine great-grandchildren; special friend, Dale Morris; several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Arlie was predeceased by her husband, Richard Miles Howard in 1994; sisters, Florence, Virginia, Wilma and brother, Bernard DeLand.
