Obituary of Marianna D. Moracco

Marianna D. Moracco GENEVA- Marianna D. Moracco, 96, passed away peacefully on Sun. (Oct. 2, 2016), at Huntington Nursing Home. Family and friends may call from 3 to 6 p.m. Wed. (Oct. 5), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Thurs. (Oct. 6), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Contributions may be directed to St. Francis De Sales - St. Stephen's School Education Fund, 17 Elmwood Ave. Geneva, NY 14456. Marianna was born on March 3, 1920, in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Anthony and Maria (Gillotte) Moracco. She was a devoted communicant of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva and served as a Eucharistic Minister, taught religious education for many years and sang in the choir. She was a member of the Stephen Ministry, the St. Anthony Rosary Society, the Knights of Columbus Auxiliary, the Catholic Daughters and the G.A.I.L. Lodge. She is survived by her sisters-in-law, Barbara Moracco and Betty Lou Prete; numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Marianna was predeceased by her brothers, Dominic (Faye) Moracco, Samuel Moracco, Joseph (Theresa) Moracco, Ralph Moracco, Peter (Anna) Moracco, Anthony Moracco; sisters, Marie (Michael) Morfei, Palma (Charles) Deal and Angelina (James) Allee.
