Anthony J. Sabatine GENEVA- Anthony J. Sabatine, 65, passed away peacefully at home on Thurs. (June 29, 2017). Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Wed. (July 5), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1 p.m. in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church, Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum with military honors. Anthony was born on March 9, 1952, in Waterloo and was a son of the late Anthony and Adeline (DeYulio) Sabatine. He was a member of the 1970 graduating class of Geneva High School. Anthony served his country in the United States Army and was a veteran of the Vietnam War. He was Postmaster General for the city of Geneva for many years before his retirement. Anthony enjoyed gardening, traveling with friends and golfing. Upon retirement, he worked at the Seneca Lake Country Club in Geneva. Anthony was a member of St. Francis De Sales Church and the Sons of Italy Lodge 2397. He is survived by his sister, Ann Simnitt of San Diego, Calif.; nephew, Curt Siminett of San Diego; special uncle, Ralph; several cousins, friends and special friend, Eddie Rivero of Geneva. In addition to his parents, Anthony was predeceased by his brother, Rodney Sabatine; sister, Bonita Sabatine; several aunts and uncles.
