Obituary of Duane M. Jolley

Duane M. Jolley GENEVA-Duane M. Jolley, 70, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (March 7, 2013), in Hornell with his family by his side. Friends may attend a graveside service at 10:30 a.m. Mon. (March 11), in St. Francis Cemetery Phelps, NY. Duane was born in Geneva, NY on May 19, 1942, the son of the late Robert and Flora (Mazzochi-Karweck) Jolley. He retired as Resident Commissioner for Geneva Housing Authority and served on the Geneva Advisory Board. Duane worked as General Manager of Phelps Hotel Restaurant and later pursued a career in sales. He was a motivational speaker for persons in need and volunteered at Geneva General Hospital. Duane was a long time member of St. Francis De Sales Church, American Legion Post 396 and Sons of Italy 2397. He was an avid golfer and a member of the Geneva Country Club. Duane served his country in the Navy Sub Service. Duane is survived by his son Stephen (Betsey) Jolley of Clearwater, FL; daughters Christine Dittman of Olean, NY, Summer (Anthony P. Procacci) Jolley of Hinsdale, NY and Tracy Jolley of Charlotte, NC; half-sister Claudia (Alan) Eden of Cary, NC; half-brother Kevin Karweck of Waterloo, NY; granddaughter Abigail Jolley and three nieces. Duane was predeceased by his son David Jolley.
