Obituary of Edward A. DeVellis

Edward "Eddie" Arduino DeVellis GENEVA-Edward A. DeVellis, 68, left this world unexpectedly on Sat. (Feb. 03, 2018). Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thurs. (Feb. 8) and from 10 to 11 a.m. Fri. (Feb. 9), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. A service will follow at 11 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to Robin DeVellis, c/o Ontario Family Court. Eddie was born on Nov. 8, 1949 in Geneva and he was the son of the late Louise (Fiocca) and Pasquale DeVellis. In the late 1960's Eddie was co-owner of Lumpy's Pizza, on the corner Castle and Main Street in Geneva. Eddie lived for many years in Dallas, TX and was a lifelong Cowboys fan. He was very proud of the construction work he did in the Los Colinas and Dallas area. Eddie was always pointing out projects he worked on. Family was very important to Eddie. He was a good man with a big heart and a generous and loyal friend. Everyone has an "Eddie story". Some will make you laugh while others will make you cringe. Eddie will be fondly remembered by all who knew him. Eddie is survived by his wife of 25 yrs., Robin (Colbert) DeVellis; son, Edward "Joe" DeVellis; sisters, Natalie (Butch) Smithoover and Joyce (Frank) Tedesche; sister-in-law, Cindy DeVellis; nephews, Jade and Pat; nieces Nicole, Andrea, Carly, and Carole; lifetime friends, Joe Barilla, Richard Sabatini and Jim Smith. He was predeceased by his brother, Patsy DeVellis. May the Almighty give him rest and peace in paradise. Trust that an ending is followed by a beginning.
