Obituary of Eleanor Augustine

Eleanor Augustine GENEVA- Eleanor (Visconti) Augustine, 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday (Feb. 18, 2018) at Huntington Nursing Home. In honoring her wishes, there will be no prior calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wed. (Feb. 21) in St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery Contributions may be directed to Alzheimer Foundation, 435 E. Henrietta Rd., Rochester, NY 14620. Eleanor was born on Oct. 30, 1924 in San Demetrio, Italy and was a daughter of the late Gaetano and Giovanna (Delle Feste) Visconti. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace parish and St. Anthony's Society. Eleanor worked in retail for many years in the Geneva area. She very much enjoyed after retirement working at St. Francis Rectory taking care of the priests. She is survived by her daughters Maria (Anthony) Reale of Geneva and Joanne; sons Michael (Judy) Augustine of Geneva and George (Faye) Augustine of Florida; sister, Nevia De Franco of Italy; several grandchildren, step-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Eleanor was predeceased by her husband John; son, Vincent Augustine; daughter-in-law Donna Augustine; brothers Aldo and Demetrio Visconti; sisters Isabella Visconti and Adele Russo.
