GENEVA- Loretta Acquilano, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday (April 10, 2018), after a year -long battle with pancreatic cancer, during which she demonstrated courage, dignity and grace. She is at peace in Heaven. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Fri. (April 13) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m Sat. (April 14) in St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in Oaklawn Cemetery. Loretta was born on Oct. 30, 1925, in Geneva and was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Frances (Tizzano) Tandle. She was a tremendous cook who enjoyed feeding family and friends. Loretta loved to garden and had a strong sustaining faith. She leaves behind her husband of 60 years, Francis Acquilano; five sons Thomas, James (Brenda Bremer), Francis, Timothy (Jean) and Richard (Megg Lynch); grandchildren Paul, Brooke, Jeremiah, Tara McLung (Jake), Michael (Hope), Matthew, Clare, Carly, Noelle, Madeline, Alexis and Ellie; great-grandchildren Giorgio and Loretta; sisters Susan, Betty, Joyce, Joan and Frances; step brother Dan (Anna) Laurenza; step sister in law Marlene Laurenza. Loretta was predeceased by her brothers Louis, Nicholas and Francis; sisters Eleanor and Mary; and grandchild, Forrest; step brother Alex Laurenza.
