Obituary of Peter M. Carnovale

Peter M. Carnovale GENEVA- Peter M. Carnovale, 94, passed away peacefully on Thurs. (July 12, 2018), at home, surrounded by family. Family and friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Mon. (July 23), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. The Sons of Italy will meet at the funeral home at 11:50 a.m. A funeral service will follow at 12 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery with full military honors. Contributions may be directed to Ontario-Yates Hospice, 756 Pre-Emption Rd. Geneva, NY 14456. Peter was born on Aug. 6, 1923, in Geneva, and was a son of the late Dominick and Anna (Mulvaso) Carnovale. He was a proud veteran of WWII from 1943 to 1946, serving in the United States Army. Peter worked as an electrician at Willard Hospital for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. He was a member of the American Legion Post 396 and the Sons of Italy Lodge 2397. He is survived by his daughters, Anne (Michael) Rapini of Geneva, Joanna Singleton of NC, Donna Carnovale of CA and Deborah (Stan) Proffitt of Geneva; brother, Joseph (Mary) Carnovale of Geneva; sister, Mary (Dave) Burry of AZ; sister-in-law, Patricia Carnovale of Chicago, Ill.; grandchildren, Eric Rapini of Geneva, Melissa French Rapini of Nashville, TN, Dana (Chris) Acciavatti of Durham, NC and Lindsay Singleton of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews. Peter was predeceased by his loving wife, Vincenzina Carnovale in Jan. 2018; brothers, Anthony Carnovale and Bruno Carnovale; sister, Rose (Robert) Kosier.
