AURORA, CO/ GENEVA- John Martin Cataline II, 49, passed away unexpectedly due to complications from surgery on Sat. (Sept. 1, 2018) in Aurora, Colorado. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Fri. (Sept. 14) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Sat. (Sept. 15), at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the CdLS Foundation, 302 West Main Street, #100, Avon, CT 06001-3681. John was born and raised in Geneva, New York to John and Carol Cataline. He enlisted with the Army in 1992 and served till 1993. He attended Edinboro University in Pennsylvania and graduated from Metro State University in 2005. He worked with CenturyLink for 20 years, starting in 1998. He proudly served the members of Communications Workers of America as their Vice President. He was an avid supporter of the Cornelia de Lange Syndrome Foundation for 40 years. He will be remembered for his love of scuba diving, outdoors, traveling, music, and family. He is survived by his parents Carol and John Cataline of Geneva, N.Y.; brothers Michael Cataline of Geneva, N.Y. and David Cataline of Baltimore, Md.; best friend, Lori (Chuck) Griffith; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. John was predeceased by his maternal grandparents Virginia D'Agostino and Orlando D'Agostino; paternal grandparents Paul Cataline and Nancy Cataline; God-mother, Mary Ann Beeman.
