Evelyn L. Talomie
GENEVA-Evelyn L. Talomie, 100, passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Fri. (Sept. 14, 2018). Family and friends may attend a graveside service at 11 a.m. Wed. (Sept. 19), in St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneva, NY.
Evelyn was the daughter of the late Rose (Ardolino) and Savino Bonito. She sewed parachutes for the paratroopers during World War II, and then went on to work for Geneva General Hospital for 30+ yrs. Evelyn mowed her lawn up until 90 yrs. old. She liked to garden and was an avid bingo player. Evelyn was involved in her grandchildren's lives and loved them very much.
She is survived by her son Edward (Alice) Akens of Stanley; daughter Gail (Laverne "Chuck") Lafler of Seneca Falls; grandchildren Edward Akens, Ashley (Megan) Akens, Bradley Akens, Dino Mahoney, John (Nicole) Mahoney, Eric Sullivan and Heather Beck; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was predeceased by her husbands, Edward Akens and Patrick Talomie; daughter Barbara McCarty; grandchildren Karen McCarty and Kelly Mahoney.
