Obituary of Lydia Naegele

GENEVA- Lydia Naegele, 69, passed away peacefully on Mon. (Dec. 31, 2018), at Pathway Home. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Fri. (Jan. 4), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. Sat. (Jan. 5), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church in Geneva. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to be made to Thrive to Survive , or Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes. Lydia was born in Guayama, Puerto Rico and moved to Geneva when she was 3 years old. She was loved by so many people. Lydia was a beacon of light at Happiness House and loved working every day with the children. The children and staff never felt like a job to her but a reason to get up everyday. She was selfless, always putting her family and friends ahead of her own needs. Lydia was never a victim and Cancer never defined her. She loved life to the fullest spending quality time with her children and grandchildren, dinners and trips with friends and family. Lydia has touched so many lives and is loved by all. She is survived by her mother, Felicita Candelario, her son, Christian Naegele, her daughter, Adrienne (Naegele) Gage, son-in-law, Brad Gage, grandchildren, Amanda, Chrisitan and Megan Gage, her ex-husband, Daniel Naegele and many extended family members, co-workers, neighbors and friends. Lydia was predeceased by her father, Epifano Candelario.
