GENEVA- Joseph Francis "Grandpa Joe" Luzzi, 82, passed away Tues. (Feb. 19, 2019), at Tampa General Hospital. Family and friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m., Mon. (March 4), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tues. (March 5), at St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Contributions may be directed to the charity of one's choice. Joseph was born on Dec. 31, 1936, in Geneva and was a son of the late Dominic Rocco and Anna Rose (Chester) Luzzi. He grew up in the Torrey Park area of Geneva, working at the family store. Joe worked for the Geneva City School District as a custodian and a school bus driver. He also served as fire chief for the Northside Fire Department. He is survived by his son, Francis J. Luzzi of Port Jervis, NY; daughter, Tammy J. Luzzi of Geneva; siblings, Mary Jane Papp of MI, Robert (Patricia) Luzzi of Geneva, Linda (Roger) Stroh of FL and Patrick (Carol) Luzzi of FL; grandchildren, Gary Caton, Joseph Luzzi, Stephanie Lockspeiser, Briana Lyon, Mariah Jahna, Tyghe Jahna and Marissa Luzzi; great-grandchildren, Bailee McClain, Noah McClain and Kennedy Lyon; significant other, Jennifer Evans and her family; several nieces, nephews and his Friendly Ford and Super Casuals families. In addition to his parents, Joseph was predeceased by his wife, Beverly Luzzi.
