Obituary of Frances M. Augustine

Frances M. Augustine GENEVA- Frances M. Augustine, 101, passed away peacefully on Wed. (July 10, 2013), at the Geneva Living Center North, with her family by her side. Friends may call from 9 to 10 a.m. Mon. (July 15), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. A private burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to the Geneva Living Center North 1st floor 196 North St. Geneva, NY 14456, or the American Heart Association 7272 Greenville Ave. Dallas, TX 75231. Frances was born on Oct. 4, 1911, in Clyde, NY, and was a daughter of the late Nicholas and Maria (Fratangelo) DiSanto. She was a caring and loving mother, who provided her family with a comfortable home. Frances retired from Finger Lakes Dry Cleaner. She enjoyed sewing and gardening flowers and vegetables. She loved her T.V. shows and was known for her baking. She will be remembered for her warm hospitality, big hearted generosity and her philosophy of, "take it one day at a time." Frances was a member of St. Francis De Sales Church. She is survived by her sons, Henry 'Hank' (Maureen) Augustine, Jr. of Geneva and Patrick (Meg) Augustine of Long Island; daughter, Marie Holbrooks of Birmingham, AL; a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great, great grandchildren, great, great, great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her husband, Henry J. Augustine, Sr.; daughter, Barbara (Abright) Leo; brothers, Tony, Joe, Pete, Matthew, Rocco, Raymond, Nicholas and Octave DiSanto; sisters, Angie (Iocco) Marchitell, Helen Volpe and Elizabeth Carello; grandsons, William Gebert-Fryer, Martin Augustine.
