GENEVA- Genevieve "Jay" F. Cancilo, 97, passed away peacefully on Sun. (Dec. 27, 2020), at Geneva General Hospital. The viewing will be from 9:30 to 10 a.m. on Sat. (Jan. 2), at St. Francis De Sales Church, in Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m., in the church. Those in attendance must wear a mask and follow the rules of social distancing. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

Jay was born on Feb. 4, 1923, in Geneva, NY and was the daughter of the late Eugene and Frances (Chiliberto) Cancilo. She was a life-long resident of Geneva and spent most of her time as a caretaker. Jay served as a family care provider for 35 years and loved her "girls" very much. She was a former member of the Rosary Society and the Catholic Daughters and a devoted member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church. Jay could be seen often attending funerals and presenting Mass Cards to grieving families. "I love you more"
She is survived by several cousins, close friends and devoted caretakers.
