So sorry to hear this news. I first met Lou when he was our mailman on Middle St. Lou was always friendly and cheerful. He always had time to say Hi. Later I coached against Lou in the Geneva Jr. Football league. When we started umpiring together is where my fondest memories of Lou are. We did mny HS Varsity games, Babe Ruth, Mens softball games too. Our trips began when I would pick up Lou at 3PM in front of the Geneva PO . We shared many stories while we headed to a baseball game . You lost your beloved Dad and many lost a true friend

I got to know Lou the last seven years while swimming at the YMCA. He struck up a conversation with me, and it just never ended. Till now. I will miss talking with him about the Honor Flight, his days in the service, the history of Geneva mail deliveries, and especially about the latest with the Yankees and Orange basketball. Loved meeting up with Lou in the mornings. You'll be so very missed my friend. A contribution in your memory went out to the Geneva Family YMCA. My condolences to his wonderful family, about whom he'd after talk so proudly. Bruce Reisch

I met Lou when I started going to the YMCA several years ago. All though I never had the pleasure of knowing Lou before then, we had many many mutual friends. There was a group of us that swam and did Aqua Therapy at the Y together at the same time. We shared stories and many jokes there and all left early in the morning feeling physically and mentally much better. Lou had a smile and laugh that was very distinctive and it was contagious! The YMCA morning group of us will truly miss him! He was one of the most decent, kind, friendly, thoughtful men I have ever met in my life! RIP Lou!
