Obituary of Nancy Ann Smaldone

GENEVA- Nancy Ann Smaldone, 93, passed away peacefully on Wed. (Feb. 3, 2021), at home, with her family by her side. Friends may call from 10 to 11 a.m. Sat. (Feb. 6), at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12 p.m. at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Geneva. Entombment will follow in St. Mary's Mausoleum. Those who attend must wear masks and follow the rules of social distancing In lieu of flowers, contributions may be directed to Our Lady of Peace Parish, 130 Exchange St. Geneva, NY 14456, the St. Francis De Sales - St. Stephen's School Education Fund, 17 Elmwood Ave. Geneva, NY 14456, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. Nancy was born on Jan. 8, 1928, in Geneva and was the daughter of the late Luigi and Elena (Caetani) Rapini. She worked in data processing at Taylor Brown Hospital in Waterloo. Nancy was the ultimate wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt and friend. She was devoted to her family and Catholic faith. Nancy loved cooking and baking for anyone who entered her home. She is survived by her children, Edward L. (Mary) Smaldone, Jr., Rick (Jann) Smaldone of Geneva, Holley (Mike) Cragg of Geneva, Doug (Pam) Smaldone of Waterloo, J.J. (Tina) Smaldone of Geneva and Michael Smaldone of Columbia; grandchildren, Eddie (Becky), Kristian, Stefanie, Dina (Bob), Steven (Sarah), Jay (Anna), Alex (Tom), Michael (Alyssa), Paul (Lauren), Randalle (Jeff), Joe (Leigha), Xavier and Tyler; great-grandchildren, Nolan, McKenna, Gianni, Tate, Bella, Lola, Weston and Riley; several nieces and nephews. Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Edward L. Smaldone, Sr. in 2017; children, Robert, Roberta, Nancy Ann and Kristin Noel; sister, Sue Trotta; brothers, Tony, Joe, Art and Angelo Rapini.
