GENEVA- Thomas John Riley, Jr., 92, passed away peacefully on Mon. (April 19, 2021), at the Geneva Living Center South. In honoring his wishes, there will be no services. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
Thomas was born on Aug. 9, 1928, in Canada and was the son of Thomas John and Margaret (Hennessy) Riley, Sr. He was one of 16 children. He worked for the Sisters of St. Joseph and retired as an engineer from Bausch and Lomb in Rochester. Thomas enjoyed living on the lake, hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his sons, Thomas J. Riley of Rochester, Douglas J. Riley and Don (Diane) Riley of Webster; grandchildren, Rachel Riley, Thomas and Maria Riley, Jacklyn and Thomas VerBeeck; great-grandchildren, Alexia Riley, Madelyn Riley and Lacey VerBeeck; sisters June Amos of Alberta, Canada and Caulene Andrews of Peterborough, Canada; brother Ken Riley of Peterborough, Canada; several nieces and nephews.
Thomas was predeceased by his wife, Pauline (Welch) Riley; daughters, Sharon Lee Riley and Beverly Ann Riley.
