John Vincent Ruggieri, Sr.
GENEVA-John Vincent Ruggieri, Sr., 93, passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Fri. (July 19) at the Geneva Living Center South. A private service will be at the family's convenience.
Memorial contributions may be made in his memory to St. Frances De Sales Church, 130 Exchange Street, Geneva, NY.
John was born on April 25, 1920 in Geneva and was the son of the late Rose (Bimbo) and Donato Ruggieri. He was a member of St. Francis De Sales Roman Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. John retired from General Cigar in New York City and later worked at the Sunset Bowl. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed eating.
John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Shirley Ruggieri of Geneva; son John V. Ruggieri, Jr. of Geneva; sisters Mary Secor of Geneva and Louise Foster of Geneva; a niece, nephews and friends.
He is predeceased by sisters Carmella DeGloma and Emma Emerick.
